Welcome, my name is Kurt and I manufacture Steel art based in Peterborough. I welcome private commissions. I supply to independent retailers or you can by my items direct in the products page.
My work takes inspiration from the 'Arts and Craft' movement in the late 19th century, which rebelled against poor quality mass production. If like me you've purchased items from China, you'll understand the relevance today.
Instead, William Morris championed the movement to design and seek out like-minded individuals who could hand produce quality items using traditional skills. Like the Arts and crafts movement much of my work reflects the organic beauty of nature. I take Steel which is an industrial material and manipulate it into art that belies its original form. I'm a great advocate for recycling and use unwanted steel products whenever possible, such as bicycles, car parts, and washing machines and transform them into Lamps, Fire-pits and bowls.
